The NY Post, with its strong heritage and millions of readers, deserved a site design that reflected its iconic status. As part of the early design process, our challenge was to bring the brand to life in the digital space in impactful and practical ways. We chose highly readable typefaces that also packed a punch, complemented by bold framing devices, a powerful color palette, and a weighty icon system to help reflect the brand's values.
Since news doesn't happen on a schedule, the NY Post needed a design system and UX framework that would enable their team to build new experiences quickly. To achieve this, we created a flexible and extensible component system that allows them to react to breaking news or build experiences for planned events without the need for new code and with minimal design help.
